Time to cook up some R&B alchemy in the lab? Wondering where those silky-smooth vocal sounds are going to come from?
We’ve all been there.
But don’t sweat it. Because we compiled the best free R&B vocal sample packs and loops, we could find. And there are hundreds of files for you to take advantage of.
Here’s what we gathered for you:
SampleRadar: 1,338 free female vocal samples by Music Radar
In case you didn’t already know, Music Radar has an expansive collection of free samples, including synth, drum, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, bassline, dark dub, emo, pop samples, and much more. So, keep them in mind when you’re trying to hunt down additional samples for your next project.
The SampleRadar: 1,338 free female vocal samples pack isn’t exclusively an R&B pack, but like me, I think you will find some usable material here. After all, there are over 1,000 samples to take advantage of.
Sometimes, the one thing missing from a killer R&B track is the vocals. Unless you’re a vocalist yourself or know some vocalists, who are willing to work on the cheap or free, your track might end up sitting on your hard drive for a long time to come.
Or maybe your track is missing that elusive “X factor” that would take it over the top.
One thing’s for sure – this female vocal sample pack will add personality to your music. You should be able to get a lot of mileage out of this package too because every sample has been provided with soft, medium, and hard variations, as well as two harmony parts.
All the material has been organized into six thematic folders and the files have been supplied as 24-bit WAV files. Simply import or drag them into your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) and you should be off to the races.
Use the samples any way you want. MusicRadar simply asks you not to redistribute them.
Again, there should be plenty of material here for your projects and for finding some needed inspiration. Have fun!
SampleRadar: 327 free vocal ad-lib samples by MusicRadar
As with the other MusicRadar sample pack featured here, the SampleRadar: 327 free vocal ad-lib samples pack isn’t exclusively an R&B entry. That said, for all those times you’ve got large empty spaces in your tracks, this collection is sure to prove its worth.
This collection is made up of short vocal sounds, which have been organized into three folders – ad-lib, spoken word, and FX sounds. The files have been provided as high-quality 24-bit WAV files for quick and easy use in your sampler or DAW.
You’re welcome to use the material for commercial projects. Again, MusicRadar doesn’t want to catch you redistributing them though.
Having listened to the samples, I noticed there is a mix of smoky, sultry, and sexy female vocal sounds, and even some heavily effected ones. I haven’t listened to the entire collection, mind you, so there could be some other great surprises in this package.
The only way to know is to download it yourself and see what happens.

UTOPIA – Free Melody Loops by Cymatics.fm
Cymatics always has something going on in terms of free sample packs, and while they may not all be to your liking, you don’t have much to lose by checking out their free libraries.
Of course, they have an array of premium packs too, covering various electronic and urban genres, be it lo-fi, hip-hop, trap, drill, EDM, R&B, or otherwise. They’ve also got melodies, drum loops, kicks, snares, hi-hats, 808s, and other specialized sounds.
If you find yourself making a lot of electronic music, then I would suggest keeping that Cymatics link handy.
As for UTOPIA – Free Melody Loops, this is a smaller-scale sample pack with melodies suited to R&B, dark trap, ethnic, and other styles. All melodies come with stems and a MIDI file, which is great for customization.
The included sounds are very vibey. We think you’ll like them!
Nightmares – Trap Melody Loops by Cymatics.fm
Nightmares – Trap Melody Loops, like UTOPIA, come with 20 melody loops including stems and MIDI files.
These were inspired by the likes of Drake, Travis Scott, and 21 Savage, among others.
Naturally, these melodies have been created with trap music in mind, and not all of them feature vocals. But I think you’ll agree that some of the melodies give off a very vibey R&B feel.
This is a small collection, and it may only come with a few tools you need in the immediate future, but hey, it’s free, and you never know when the rest might come in handy.
INFINITY – Beta Pack 2.0 by Cymatics.fm
As you might have guessed, Cymatics’ INFINITY – Beta Pack 2.0 is explosive in scope. This sample library was created by a mix of vocalists, guitarists, drum designers, MIDI composers, and melody loop makers.
It comes with all the tools you need to make killer music, including guitars, drum samples, melodies, and more. Perhaps most importantly, INFINITY comes with one of the biggest selections of vocal files Cymatics has ever offered.
Now, because there is a free and paid version of the pack, you obviously only get a small slice of what’s on offer if you download the free library. You’ll be glad to know there is still quite a few samples for you to take advantage of though.
Peeking inside, I’m counting 301 usable files, including MIDI, stem, and dry vocal samples. There is quite a bit you don’t get access to with the free pack, but you still get plenty of sounds you can use in your productions.
INFINITY is well worth exploring, especially if you think you might require additional sounds to build out your productions.
Trap – Starter Pack by Cymatics.fm
I probably don’t need to tell you that Trap – Starter Pack was created to give producers quality samples they could use to make great sounding trap music. Quality sounds truly do make the difference, both in terms of inspiration and in building tracks that sound as good as the pros.
Having studied the top trap producers, the Cymatics team set out to create a pack that takes after the greats. The Trap – Starter Pack kit includes 180 samples and loops, including 808s, drops, one-shots, brass loops, arp loops, drum loops, and more.
Yes, there are some vocal loops as well. I can’t promise that they will all be useful to you, but you may be able to find a few that hit the spot in your R&B productions.
Eternity – Lofi Sample Pack by Cymatics.fm
Lo-fi music began to find its footing in the 1990s. But in a way, it has always been a part of music, especially the early days of recording to tape and playing back on vinyl.
And one of the biggest contributing factors to the sound of classic hip-hop, like Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), The Infamous, and Illmatic, was analog recording equipment.
Having realized this, Cymatics set out to create Eternity – Lofi Sample Pack, a free collection featuring 283 delightfully analog sounds. The kit also comes with a generous 48 vocal samples.
Broadly, you’ll also find melodies, drums, pianos, electric pianos, guitars, harps, and more.
While we don’t think everything you plan to create will be lo-fi, injecting your tracks with a bit of analog flavor couldn’t hurt, and this is the perfect library to experiment with if vintage vibes are your thing.
Odyseey – EDM Sample Pack by Cymatics.fm
Electronic Dance Music (or EDM) has proved its staying power in modern music. Cymatics was obviously onto this when they began work on the Odyssey – EDM Sample Pack. Inspired by the likes of Zedd, Skrillex, and Diplo, the professionally designed samples will help you get your listeners up and dancing.
The kit includes breakdowns, drops, drum loops, vocal chops, and more.
Orchid – Premium Sample Collection by Cymatics.fm
Cymatics’ Orchid – Premium Sample Collection is a monolithic sample library, with over 3 GB of pop, trap, dancehall, and R&B audio material (although it came out to a little over 600 MB on our hard drive, so we assume they mean it’s 3 GB if you download all the stems too).
Taking a listener-centric approach, the Cymatics team focused on creating emotionally evocative samples with Orchid. Inside the pack, you’ll find guitar loops, melody loops, drum loops, percussion loops, drum one-shots, vocals, FX, and more.
The included vocal samples tend to have a very atmospheric quality to them, so if that’s what you’ve been after, you’ll be glad to know your search might just be over.
Humphrey RnB Vocals Freebie by Samplephonics
Samplephonics is the perfect place to go to find an eclectic collection of sample packs, plugin presets, and virtual instruments. They’ve got material for house, cinema, tribal music, EDM, electronica, disco, pop, trap, and much more.
The Humphrey RnB Vocals Freebie is the taster version of the full kit. This material sounds authentic and amazing! Too bad there’s a limit to what you can get your hands on for free, huh?
The freebie comes with just 10 key-labeled WAV files.
Best Free R&B Vocal Sample Packs, Final Thoughts
It can be hard finding quality R&B vocal samples and loops all by your lonesome. You might get punted off to YouTube, Reddit, or Blogger in some unending and fruitless wild goose chase (I’m speaking from personal experience here).
If you’re going to stake your bets on something, stake your bets on the guide we’ve created for you here.
While you might not need all the sample packs we’ve shared here, we do hope you found enough material to keep yourself busy for a time to come. Good luck and let us know how you get on!
